Pre-caching is used to speed up Cloudpaging application delivery to machines by allowing application pages to be read directly from a source STC file without storing the pages in the Player local cache.

The AppsAnywhere Client is required for all users who will be launching applications from AppsAnywhere on a Mac or Windows device. The client can be pre-installed by a system administrator, or installed upon first use by the end-user (as long as they have administrative rights). <br><br> Additionally, in order to launch applications using an integrated delivery method such as Cloudpaging, the relevant third party client e.g Cloudpaging Player must also be installed. If the AppsAnywhere Client is installed and detects that Cloudpaging Player is not, then it will facilitate the installation of the Cloudpaging Player on the user's behalf using the Administrative privileges that it retains (via the installed system service) from when it was first installed.

New releases of AppsAnywhere can be upgraded to in-place on existing virtual appliances without the need to deploy new VM images. <br><br> To complete an AppsAnywhere upgrade, customers need to: <ul> <li>1. Request the upgrade prerequisites from <a href="http://support.appsanywhere.com/">AppsAnywhere Support</a>.</li> <li>3. Provide the details of the prerequisites to the AppsAnywhere team and schedule a prerequisite check.</li> <li>4. Once the prerequisites check is complete, an upgrade scheduling link will be provided to schedule a maintenance window.</li>
