Deployment
The server upgrade process is a migration from existing AppsAnywhere servers, to the new virtual appliance based servers, which will need to be set up in advance.
To plan and prepare for migration, refer to the following documentation:
Please note: in addition to previous network / firewall requirements, one additional external destination is required for AppsAnywhere 2.11, to permit access to the Node.js update repository.
Once the virtual appliance has been imported and First-time Configuration completed, submit a ticket to AppsAnywhere Support and we will connect remotely to configure the new AppsAnywhere server.

Client Deployment
For manual deployment to institution owned machines please review Managed Deployment of AppsAnywhere Client and Cloudpaging Player.

If a user visits AppsAnywhere and does not have the minimum client versions as specified in Client Settings, they will still be installed or updated. It is therefore advisable to update managed clients before setting new minimum versions.
For automatic updates on BYOD via the AppsAnywhere Client, under Admin > Client Settings, set the current and minimum versions for AppsAnywhere Client and Cloudpaging Player to the latest release.
